Stage 10 of the Giro d'Italia 2025 saw another first time winner, as Dutch time-trial specialist Daan Hoole won the 28.6-kilometer individual time trial from Lucca to Pisa, with rain soaking the riders who hit the road later in the day.
The weather didn't dampen the spirts of overall leader Isaac del Toro, who managed to hold on to the pink leader's jersey, despite finishing 37th on the day.
After a rest day and the time trial, it's time for the riders to really get back to work. They'll ease into Stage 11 on Wednesday with a steady ascent, before tougher climbs and long descents during the second half of the 186-kilometer ride from Viareggio to Castelnovo ne' Monti.

Stage 11: Giro d’Italia 2025
There was a rest day after Stage 9, while Stage 10 was a short (28.6 kilometers) time trial, so everyone should have fresh legs for this 186-kilometer ride from Viareggio to Castelnovo ne' Monti.
The riders will ease into the stage, but what looms hasn't been seen in the Giro for a quarter of a century - the Alpe San Pellegrino - which hits gradients of 20%.
The conclusion of the day features an ascent of Pietra di Bismantova, which is a famous symbol of destination city.
A handful of climbs along the way make this stage challenging. A 6.5-kilometer stretch near the finish reaches 5.2%, and the last kilometer of the race will average about a 4% gradient.
Expect attacks. Look out for a breakaway or two. Anything can happen!

Who Won Stage 11 Of The Giro d’Italia In 2024?
In 2024, Stage 11 at the Giro d'Italia ended with a bunch sprint, won by Italy's Jonathan Milan for his second stage victory of the year. He first won in Stage 4.
Stage 11 featured a 207-kilometer journey from Foiano di Val Fortore to Francavilla al Mare on the shore of the Adriatic Sea.
The ride along the coast was scenic and tolerable, but a big crash in the final kilometer stole some of the spotlight from Milan.
To get the win, Milan edged Tim Merlier, who was relegated from second place to 89th due to dangerous riding.
Kaden Groves ended up second, followed by Giovanni Lonardi, Laurence Pithie and Juan Sebastian Molano.
In Stage 3 last year, Merlier finished first, just ahead of Milan.
Milan added to his success in 2024 by winning Stage 13, too.
