We’re a few days late here, but anyways...
The Big Ten this week revealed the conference opponents for teams in the 2025-26 season.
Here’s what Illinois’ 20-game slate will look like:
- Home Only – Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon, Rutgers, Washington, Wisconsin
- Away Only – Iowa, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, UCLA, USC
- Home & Away – Maryland, Nebraska, Northwestern
No dates, times or TV info is available just yet.
Most notable here for Underwood’s Balkans Boys is a trip out west to LA for UCLA and USC. Those will be back to back games.
In return, Illinois welcomes Oregon and Washington to SFC for the first time since joining the conference.
Illinois gets Northwestern again for a home-and-home, while Maryland and Nebraska are new this year. That’s a good draw, since those teams shouldn’t be sniffing the tourney in 2026.
Most difficult is away only trips to East Lansing and West Lafayette.... Gotta split those somehow if you want to win the Big Ten.
Should be fun! Six months until tipoff!
