Nuclear energy is ‘the answer’ to seize on Australia’s prosperity

Nationals Senate Leader Bridget McKenzie has described the Coalition’s nuclear energy plan as a “fabulous policy”.

This comes as Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has challenged Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to a debate on nuclear power.

“For those of us that live out in the regions, it’s going to mean long-term, intergenerational, future-focused jobs,” Ms McKenzie said.

“On any measure, for me, nuclear power generation is the answer to staying a rich, prosperous, low-emissions economy into the next century.”
